AS3 Datechooser source code for free
Back in February I released the source code for a datechooser that I had written in AS3 because there isn’t one for Adobe Flash CS and I didn’t find anything I liked out there.
Since then I have received and distributed this to many people, so I thought I would create a page just for it to make it easier to find and request.
The one that I have written is very light weight with few options, but since you have all the source code you can customize it to suit your needs. You can resize the calendar, or completely reskin it to fit your application. Again, you have all the code for the datechooser, so do as you please.
Here are the restrictions:
1. You can not redistribute the source code.
2. You can not sell the component.
4. You can not use if for a vegetable gardening application. If anyone is doing this, you are a strange fellow anyway.
3. You can not request support or help with coding it. That is why I am not componetizing it. You can see it all and should be able to figure it out.
Here is what you can do:
1. Use it for personal, private or commercial applications for free.
2. Email it to friends and co-workers. As long as you don’t post it on a public web server I am happy.
3. You can muck with the source code and graphics all you want to make it work for you.
To request, make sure you can live with the restrictions above, and then send an email to me, Roy.
