Plangarden featured on NPR Growing Concerns
By roystahl | March 8, 2008
A few weeks ago we got an unsolicited email from Cecilia Nasti, the host of the NPR program Growing Concerns. It seems that she was doing research for another project and found Plangarden and was intrigued.
Cecilia arranged for an interview and we spent an half hour talking about vegetable gardening and how it go mixed in with Technology. From our conversation, she put together a 5 minute peice that should focus on vegetable gardening and technology. We even had some off the record conversation and a feature she mentioned is even going to be in the next version of Plangarden.
I sometimes forget how strange it is to mix the bleeding edge technologies and something as simple and down to earth as vegetable gardening. But vegetable gardening is only going to get more important in our current society and Plangarden will help make something old like gardening seem new fresh and hip. Adding a bit of web 2.0 to soil and water is a growning concern.
One thing I got from talking with Cecilia is that she is very hip and when it comes to vegetable gardening, I am happy to share my passion for gardening with anyone that will listen.
